If you’re interested in putting together an interview, here’s at least one great presentation done by a guy who has conducted hundreds of interviews with high profile people…

In this day and age, the world is our stage when it comes to conducting interviews.  In other words, it shouldn’t matter where the interviewer or the interviewee is located, so long as the interview is going to be of interest to our listening audience.  For sure, we’re confined to English language discussions, but the origination of our discussions shouldn’t be confined to location.

With that, I’m placing a video down below from a guy I’ve followed for a great many years.  Previously, he’s helped me with my CoachChic.com video production.  His training piece that arrived in my inbox today, though, offers the best advice I’ve ever seen for arranging online interviews — easily, and at low or even no cost.

The following video is about conducting a video interview.  However, it’s not necessary for cameras to be used on either end of a Hockey Talk Radio interview.

Here’s the latest goings on with Hockey Talk Radio NEWS…

Oh, buy, talk about psyched…

To me, it’s a really big deal for Hockey Talk Radio to be picked up by a new directory (and it’s also an awesome feeling to have the folks at that directory compliment me/us on our station).

That was the case this past week, when the “A Better Radio” directory added us to their listings, and built a beautiful page on their site.  Please have a look, maybe listen to us at times through that venue, and also browse at some of their other great station offerings.

Hockey Talk Radio coverage continues to expand…

If you take a look on our “Bring Hockey Talk Radio to Your Site” page, you’ll notice some great hockey related sites now placing our Hockey Talk Radio player on their sites — and I’m sure that list will grow daily.

We’ve gone one (or three) better for our partners lately, too…

The first big improvement is that our newly created code allows the player to fit just about anywhere on a page, including in a slim sidebar.

Secondly — and perhaps best of all, the player opens in a small, new window, that can be resized or minimized.  And, as it says on the graphic, visitors can now listen to Hockey Talk Radio as they continue browsing the host site.  If fact, my sense is that many visitors will start listening to one of our shows, find it interesting, and spend at least a little while longer than usual on the site.

Third, I’m currently trying to promote those who are joining with me in this project.  And that means I’m promoting each of them to my 16,000+ social media followers and friends.

Jack Mullet Hockey Show

The Jack Mullet Hockey Show, created in 2012, and a staple of Hockey Talk Radio since the station first aired, now ranks as a listener favorite.

Jack says he started his show because, “I was tired of some of the dry hockey news from various sources and thought it was time to try hockey talk myself.”

Jack also says that, “I try to keep things light and entertaining,” but we’re going to suggest that he has as sharp a needle as anyone reporting on the game.  (Case in point…  Although the John Scott fiasco is somewhat over now, click the player below to hear how Jack Mullet felt before the recent NHL All-star Game.)

Win Now Analytics for Sports

According to Dan Bryndle, his Win Now program works for all sports.  It’s beauty, according to Dan, is that his plan is not a team building analysis like that designed by Billy Beane of “Moneyball” fame, but instead takes a given team — with its coaches, players and staff, and uses that data to formulate a winning strategy.  His program can also take stats and video of a team’s opponents and find the weak spot in their game.  Moreover, teams and administrators of all levels can benefit from Win Now Analytics, from the lowest youth sports teams to the highest pro level.  (Listen below to Dan introduction of his program; it’s fascinating!)
